Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Your HR Guru ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and website (together, the “Services”). Contact: pattye@yourhrguru.com.
Age restriction
Our Services are for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
What we collect
Account & contact info: name, email (if you create an account or contact us).
App inputs: state, employer size, tenure/hours bands, income bands, qualifying reason, dates, zip code (optional), and limited pregnancy-related status (with/without complications). We do not collect diagnoses.
Usage & device data: app version, device identifiers, crash and analytics events.
Payments: we do not process or store card numbers. In‑app purchases are processed by Apple or Google; consulting payments are processed by Stripe via Cal.com. We store transaction/receipt IDs and entitlement status.
Sensitive data
When you choose to provide pregnancy‑related information or other medical‑related details needed for eligibility, we process it with your consent for the limited purpose of showing eligibility and calculations. You can withdraw consent by not submitting this data or by deleting your scenario.
How we use data
Provide and improve the Services, calculate eligibility and benefits, and generate summaries/PDFs.
Run the chatbot flow, show official links, and remember your progress.
Process entitlements for pay‑as‑you‑go tiers and restore purchases.
Maintain security, debug issues, and comply with legal requirements.
Sharing
We share data with service providers that help us run the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring, payment processing). Examples include Apple/Google (IAP), Stripe/Cal.com (consulting), cloud hosting, and analytics tools. We do not sell your personal information.
Official links & forms
We link to official government resources for applications and forms. We do not host or control those third‑party sites.
Data retention
Decision history and entitlements: typically 12 months for use continuity, up to 24 months for records/support.
Crash/analytics logs: 12 months.
You may request deletion at any time (see “Your rights”).
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit use of your data. Contact pattye@yourhrguru.com to exercise these rights. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
International
We are U.S.-based and process data in the United States.
Changes
If we materially change this Policy, we will update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notify you in the app.
